I am a qualified Systemic Psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience of working with young people in various settings, including work in education and Children’s Services. I also have experience of working with adults in individual, couple and family contexts, working towards a therapeutic agenda.
My systemic training means that I am curious about the everyday “systems” that each of us belong to (marriage, family, work, etc.), and the varying contexts/influences that affect how each of us are in the world. I believe that the therapeutic relationship can generate creative ideas, to establish ways forward, for when you feel stuck in life. I enjoy the outdoors and believe that it can be a resource when working with people to help them achieve their goals, I am open to arranging outdoor walking sessions – as and when appropriate.
I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and adhere to their Ethical Framework. I am also a member of the Association of Family Therapy (AFT), and a committee member of the AFT Cymru branch.
